It is my goal to provide a safe and accessible space for survivors to access bodywork. When touch is associated with getting hurt, it can be difficult to understand or access touch that is healthy and feels good. Massage can be a powerful healing tool by guiding survivors in releasing painful memories and feeling more at home in their bodies. Clients are empowered to have treatment that is safely within their boundaries. This includes, but is not limited to: areas of massage, not removing more clothing than is comfortable, and not progressing with treatment if there is any discomfort. I check in with clients frequently and I will stop the massage if a client becomes verbally unresponsive for any reason.
